3rd Grade

In 2001 started 3rd grade at Orchard again. I had two different teachers everyday and that was hard. There were too many kids in the class and too much noise. I would hide under the table when I got overwhelmed. I also got mad easy, so I spent a lot of time in the resource room.

For Halloween I dressed up as a jester! My Grandma sewed my costume for me. Mommy says I'm sooooo cute!

In the spring Mommy had to take me to Seattle again. This time Daddy came with us. We got to stay at my Mommy's e-mail friend's house! We had visited them the last time we were in Seattle, but this time we got to stay at their house and I got to play with my friend Brian! I also got to see Emily again. She's had a kidney transplant too!
Finally in December my Mommy got tired of how things were going at school and she met with the teachers and they decided to move me to a different school with a special ed classroom. I started after Christmas break at Big Sky Elementary school. It was really fun. There were 6 other kids in my class and they all played like me! My best friend was Ariel.

In April I invited my whole class to my 10th birthday party! Almost all of them came too! It was so much fun. I had a Harry Potter party at Chuck E. Cheese! I even had a Harry Potter cake!
Grandma and Grandpa Burton came to Billings again for my party.
Here are my friends Amanda, Josh and Joe! Amanda is not in my class, but we see each other once a week and do stuff together!
We danced when Chuck E. Cheese and his band played. We had a lot of fun.
Then Ariel and Cathrine helped me open my birthday presents!

My whole class got to be in the Local and State Special Olympics! It was so much fun to hang around with my friends. My Mommy took some pictures. Come look at them on the 2002 Special Olympics Page!

On June 17th we celebrated my 5th kidney transplant anniversary! We had a picnic in the park with friends. My Mommy and Daddy can't believe that I've had my kidney so long!! I was even in the Billings Gazette!

Later that June we got to go to the 2002 Summer US Transplant Games!. We were gone for about a week and it was so much fun.

Unfortunatly July wasn't a very good month. My Great Grandma had her 86th birthday and a few days later my Great Grandma and Grandpa had their 66th wedding anniversary. A few days later my Great Grandma passed away. I don't really understand what all that means, but my Mommy told me that Great Grandma is in heaven and she's not in California anymore. Mommy has been really sad.
